Ministers Pérez Iglesias and Jauregi visit the DIPC’s facilities

The most senior officials from the Basque Government’s Department of Science, Universities and Innovation and Department of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability visited the DIPC today

This morning the Minister of Science, Universities and Innovation, Juan Ignacio Pérez Iglesias, and the Minister of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability, Mikel Jauregi, visited the facilities of the DIPC (Donostia International Physics Center) together with Jaione Ganzarain, Deputy Minister of Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation. During the visit, they learnt first-hand about the research, innovation and knowledge transfer activities taking place at this centre of scientific excellence, as well as its flagship facility, the Supercomputing Centre.

Ministers Pérez and Jauregic and Deputy Minister Jaione Ganzarain are members of the DIPC Board of Trustees, and they were received by its President, Pedro Miguel Echenique and its Scientific Director, Ricardo Díez Muiño. Both Basque Government departments share an interest in the DIPC’s research work at the cutting-edge of physics and other related disciplines, and its capacity to turn scientific developments into technological solutions and innovative products.
