Screening of the documentary “The Secret of Nature” and colloquium with Pedro Miguel Echenique in Durango

The documentary “The Secret of Nature” (El secreto de la naturaleza), produced by the Chair of Scientific Culture of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and directed by José Antonio Pérez Ledo, will be shown as part of the “Zientziaren Ertzetik” series of scientific talks being jointly organised with the Bizenta Mogel Library in Durango on 15 November.

This film explores the life and work of Pedro Miguel Echenique, Professor of Condensed Matter Physics at the UPV/EHU, President of DIPC, and Honorary President of Jakiunde. The documentary presents the audience with Etxenike’s reflections on science, examining what it is and what it consists of, in a personal and intimate tone.

The screening of the documentary will be followed by a colloquium, chaired by the Director of the weekly newspaper Anboto, Jone Guenetxea, in which the audience will be able to talk to Etxenike and discuss the ideas that have been raised.
